This 115 page manual contains a wealth of information on the use of Choices, a variation of the EFT method which uses a special type of affirmation known as "Choices" in the Set-Up and Reminder phrases, thereby sharpening the focus of the treatment. The manual provides full instruction in the method, and describes Choices for anger, relationships, abuse, self-assertion, crisis intervention, pain, and a variety of other issues. It also illustrates numerous uses of this method in therapy and for special purposes.
Is "Choices" For You?

I?m writing this report to answer some interesting questions I?ve been asked about my just released Choices Manual. The fact is, this manual is not for everyone and I?m going to explain why.
You definitely don?t need the manual if you are really pleased with the way you have adapted the Choices method and don?t feel the need to develop it any further. However, here are some points you may want to keep in mind when thinking about whether or not the Choices Manual is can be useful for you.
A Secret
Although it?s called a Manual, it is actually a complete book. People who?ve seen it are telling me this, but I really knew it all along. Basically I?m an author of books and stories and lively reports, not manuals. However, this publication pulls together many varied uses of Choices for the first time in an organized way that is manual-like; and it presents a complete set of rules to make the method maximally effective (manuals are at least supposed to do that). The aim of the Choices Manual is to help the reader become not only GOOD at using Choices, but to become masterful at using them.
As you may recall, Gary Craig has pointed out on more than one occasion that EFT can be learned very quickly and is certainly useful to the casual learner, but that if you want to become a master of that method you must learn its subtleties. This is probably the main reason for studying Gary?s outstanding series of videotapes and audiotapes, they move us a huge step further in our use of EFT by teaching us to use what Gary so aptly refers to as the Art of Delivery.
Similarly, the Choices Manual is written for those who want to take the Choices method to the next level ? to fine tune their skill in using it and bring it to a level which is considerably beyond what I have been able to convey through my postings on the Internet. There is little doubt that people who want to learn the subtleties of formulating and applying therapeutic Choices can learn this only through extensive exposure to clinical examples and by being given systematic ways of going about this. This manual provides those necessary features.
As a matter of fact a number of people are finding that the Choices method ? when properly used ? makes EFT an even more powerful tool than it was before. In fact, Gary Craig comments that he considers the Choices Manual to be ?invaluable for anyone interested in expanding their use of EFT.?
Targeting specific therapeutic goals is one of the main reasons the Choices method was created and it does this in a precise manner. For those who would like in-depth training in the method, however, there is presently no source of training in Choices other than the manual (and two workshops at Energy Psychology conferences) ? it is now the definitive training vehicle.
The manual is also appropriate for those who want the method very simply set forth and all in one place. My piece by piece presentation of Choices on the internet needed to be combined into an organized system. An expert EFT practitioner, Marcia Platt, LCSW, refers to the manual?s clarity in her following comment:
